ABOUT ME:

I had the wonderful privilege of growing up in West Auckland where I attended all my schooling and played all my sports, my parents still continue to occupier our original family home in West Auckland after 50 odd years so I can defiantly say I’m a hard core Westie. I have always had a passion for serving and giving back to the Community in some type of capability which is why I eventually join the New Zealand Police force 17 years ago.

All my life I have grown up loving any type of outdoor activities and sports with mates, I love the institution of spending time with family and friends.


I just absolutely love being a trainer at Rampage, there is nothing more gratifying and amazing seeing people of all fitness levels shapes and sizes complete their first class at the hub.


It absolutely astonishes me to see folks who are complete strangers at the beginning of the class and then at the end embracing each other and giving each other a bi hi five through accomplishment the class session which comes with building new friendships.   


TRAINING STYLE AND FAVE EXERCISE/CLASS:

I really am drawn towards any type of high intense cardio exercise, either outside, or in the gym, include machine, or stationary bike, rowing machine, box-fit and body weights. My ultimate favourite classes to participate in would have to be “Cardio-Blast and Box-Fit”.


INSPIRATION: 

You have to use each day as an opportunity to improve, to be better oneself, to get a little bit closer to your daily goals. It might sound like a lot of work and with a busy life style and schedule we live it’s next to impossible. I truly believe that strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought were impossible.

I just absolutely love this quote which is so applicable to our community hub.

Any of my mums Samoan home cooked dishes yum yum.

I love kicking back in Whangamata with family and friends, BBQ’s around home and the odd round of golf.

Enjoys a laugh & always finds a funny side to life’s curve balls.

Am a father to 3 awesome Boys who humble me daily from what I learn from them.

Fills my heart being able to serve our Rampage Hub Family members.

ABOUT ME:

I am Maori and attended High School at Gisborne Boys High School where I grew up, I am the CEO owner director for the following company’s Tytan Developments Ltd, Passafe Fire Protection Ltd, Controlled Access NZ Ltd, & ICONIQ GROUP.


TRAINING STYLE AND FAVE EXERCISE/CLASS:

I love all our classes we run at the hub but Functional Movement would be my absolute favourite, functional can absolutely help you get in great shape, and depending on the coach you work with, it's not as hard as some people would have you believe.


That said, functional Movement is the best way to gain muscle and strength and lose fat, which is why many people get into it in the first place.


INSPIRATION: 

To help change people and our member’s mind-set in relation to health & fitness, allow them to grow as individuals so they can become the best they can be.


To help all our community from all fitness levels and all walks of life to achieve their short and long term goals.

It’s about understanding the people you are engaging with each and every day at the hub, asserting that knowledge and creating an environment that people relate too allowing them to step outside there comfort zones.

Has to be Kickboxing, boxing and dancing!! (The perfect combination😉)


INSPIRATION:

Training alongside my friends and other exercise goers pushing each other to work that little bit harder. Oh and Cyborg! She’s the MAN!!


FAVOURITE FOOD: 

Definitely Salmon!! But pretty much any seafood!!

8 years in the industry for FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT as a participant and a Trainer/Coach/Instructor. And many more years to come to enjoy more of it.

ABOUT ME:

Love all sports especially Rugby and Rugby League.  


TRAINING STYLE AND FAVOURITE EXCERCISE/CLASS:

Training Style, well it is the one and only ZUU.  Number 1 Body Weight Training in the world. I have been part of ZUU for nearly 3 years where I have achieved my Level 1 & 2 ZUU Qualification which is now called The Bronze and Silver Certification.  I also have my Level 1 Ankorr Certification (The Baddest tool on the Planet).  ANKORR is my favourite equipment followed closely by the ASSAULT BIKE.  My favorite exercise are the Bear Crawls and Frog Squats.  Frog Squats for MOBILITY and Bear Crawls for INJURY PREVENTION.


 INSPIRATION:

My Inspiration is seeing Friends and Family achieving what they say is impossible to do.  Always love seeing team members achieving their goals and then set new ones to achieve.


FAVOURITE FOOD / THING TO DO:

Favorite food, well, Island Food of course lol.  Love spending time with my 2 grandsons especially outdoors Running, Jumping and all things crazy boys will be doing.
